Central Heating Repairs
Diagnosing and repairing faults in central heating systems including circulation problems, pump failures, pressure issues, noisy systems, cold spots, poor heating performance and heating controls that aren't working correctly.
Pumps & Circulation
Diagnosis and replacement of central heating pumps, including circulation faults that cause uneven heating, cold radiators or a system that struggles to reach temperature. Pump failure is a common cause of heating problems and is often straightforward to resolve.
Thermostats & Heating Controls
Replacing old programmers, room thermostats and zone valves with modern controls including smart thermostats that allow you to manage your heating remotely. Correctly set controls can make a significant difference to both comfort and energy use.
Central Heating Upgrades
Upgrading older heating systems to improve efficiency and reliability. This can include replacing old radiators, fitting thermostatic radiator valves, upgrading pipework and improving overall system design and performance.
New Central Heating Installation
Installing new central heating systems in properties that don't currently have them, or carrying out a complete system replacement where the existing system is beyond economic repair.
Radiators & TRVs
Radiator replacement, addition and repositioning. Fitting thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) to give you better control over individual room temperatures and improve overall system efficiency.
System Flushing & Cleaning
Powerflush and chemical flush to remove sludge, scale and debris from the heating system. Improves circulation, reduces boiler strain and extends system life. Often recommended before a new boiler installation.
System Upgrades
Cylinder-to-Combi Conversions
Many older homes still rely on a traditional hot water cylinder, cold water tank and separate boiler. IVS Services can assess your existing heating and hot water system and, where suitable, modernise it by removing the older cylinder arrangement and installing a combination boiler including associated pipework, heating controls and radiator improvements where required.

Hot water on demand no waiting for the cylinder to heat up, and no risk of running out
Modern combi boilers are significantly more energy-efficient than older system boilers with cylinders
Fewer components means a simpler, lower-maintenance system
Can be combined with a full heating upgrade new radiators, TRVs and controls as part of the same project
Not every property is suitable for a combi boiler. Homes with multiple bathrooms or high hot water demand may be better served by a system boiler with an unvented cylinder. We'll assess your property and advise honestly on the best solution.
